Debora Young is the Founder and Principal Attorney of Young Law Firm, where she focuses her practice exclusively on probate administration, with an emphasis on preparing and handling all types of probate court filings to facilitate the transfer of assets to beneficiaries and loved ones. Her practice includes, but is not limited to, spousal property petitions, petitions to determine succession to real property, Heggstad petitions, petitions to modify trusts, and all other probate-related filings necessary to efficiently administer and distribute estates through the court process. With nearly two decades of experience in the probate field, she has developed a strong professional reputation within the probate court system, including a respected standing with the judges who oversee these matters.
Prior to founding Young Law Firm in December 2017, Debora spent ten years at a small firm, where she managed the firm’s entire probate division. In that role, she handled a wide range of matters, including probate administration, trust and estate litigation, conservatorships, and estate planning. This extensive experience provided her with a deep understanding of both the legal and practical challenges families face after the loss of a loved one.
Debora is passionate about helping families navigate the complexities of the probate process while ensuring they feel informed and supported every step of the way. She works closely with her clients as a team, staying proactive and focused on moving each matter through the process and bringing it to completion as efficiently as possible. She also enjoys appearing in court and has significant experience handling probate proceedings from start to finish.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in Business Administration, from UCLA, and later received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
